“Our time is now:” Ontario NDP launches Scarborough Southwest campaign ad for Fatima Shaban

SCARBOROUGH — Today, the Ontario NDP launched their first campaign ad for the upcoming provincial by-election in Scarborough Southwest.

Fatima Shaban is a community organizer for and from Scarborough, running to be the next MPP for Scarborough Southwest at Queen’s Park.

The ad features Shaban’s roots in the community and the Ontario NDP’s commitment to make sure Scarborough gets its fair share.

“For far too long, the people of Scarborough have been left behind,” said Marit Stiles, Leader of the Ontario NDP. “Fatima is running to change that. She has a track record of getting things done for this community.

“Whether it’s strengthening our schools as a member of parent council or fighting for her neighbours as a tenant organizer, when Fatima sees something that needs to change, she gets it done.

“New Democrats have a proud history of showing up for the people of Scarborough Southwest and Fatima knows that Scarborough is done waiting. With her track record and deep roots in the community, I know we can deliver the strong representation that the people of Scarborough Southwest deserve."
